3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
Time-Wasters!! They are the bane of a therapist's life! I can understand someone enquiring, asking questions and deciding not to do anything, but it's those who express an intention after the initial consultation then vanish without explanation who are exasperating.
I have learned not to start any prep until folks have paid up front, to minimize the time wasted - at least now there is just disappointment and the wasted time of constructing a course plan rather than also planning individual sessions for no reward.
Since I have successfully completed many courses with delighted clients, I have to conclude that the problem is with the Time-Waster. It is they who must bring the trust and commitment. I have learned not to be surprised by Time-Wasters - they don't fit any particular category, other than all lacking commitment. It is an occupational hazard of being a therapist.
I am once again confronted with my own philosophy - whatever the negative emotion is, feel it, embrace uncertainty and get on anyway. And so I shall!

8. TRIVIA
Unfortunately, Coronary artery disease (atherosclerosis) develops in almost half of all
heart transplants. Many patients are unaware of the disease because
the nerves leading to the heart are cut during a transplant;
consequently, transplant patients can't feel their new
hearts or any chest pains.
