3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
There's never a good time to need a wisdom tooth out by any measure, particularly financially if you want it done NOW. Along with some other necessary expenses, it was another blow to the debt hole, but I stick by the principle that you do not compromise on wellbeing on the grounds of cost.
Missus had developed an infection in one of hers and the thing had to go! She is now experiencing the painful aftershock, and knows at least something of what it was like when I had all four out at once back in the 90's.
My challenges financial and otherwise are of course negligible compared to the suffering of many. I am fully aware that many would yearn to trade their lives for mine. I have no problem finding things to be grateful for.
I like to think that I use the abundance such as I have to make a difference. My greatest difference is in my case to Missus and to Son who needs my comforting presence and occasional mentoring. These prioritized, I have the capacity to make a difference in lesser ways to those receptive to my skills and wisdom, and still get my own rocks off. In short, I have challenges but no complaints whatsoever.
4. TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU
Are you making the difference you WANT to make?

8. TRIVIA
Most types of seahorses pair for life. Female seahorses lay their eggs
inside a pouch on the male seahorse’s belly. When the babies are ready
to hatch, the male holds onto a piece of seaweed with his tail and rocks
back and forth until the babies pop out of his pouch.
9. ZEN WISDOM
Even places that have been shrouded in darkness for billions of years
can be illuminated. Even a stone from the bottom of a river can be used
to produce fire. Our present sufferings, no matter how dark, have
certainly not continued for billions of years—nor will they linger
forever. The sun will definitely rise.
