3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION

The Weekend Job got off to a bad start yesterday when my first encounter was with a total bitch customer.
Fortunately everybody after was fine but my Dark Side was aroused and my intention to be mindful got torpedoed - I replayed the incident in my mind all day. I bear grudges for life!

However, a good thing came out of it as I finally hit upon the best mindfulness technique, one I stumbled across online this week and recalled on the way home - simply think about thinking. This has the effect of suppressing excess random thought.

My technique had been to focus on something specific, but "focus fatigue" would often set in. When however I switched my focus to thinking itself, it all went quiet inside. I will put this technique to the test at the Weekend Job today.
