14th September 1752
THE GREGORIAN CALENDAR IS INTRODUCED TO BRITAIN
The Gregorian calendar, the one we all use today, was officially used for the first time in Britain and its colonies, replacing the Julian calendar. This meant that eleven days were "lost" as the date went straight from September 2 to September 14.

3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION

Today feels like a fresh start as some pleasant distractions have reached a natural conclusion and clients have finished their courses. I go into this week better equipped mentally than ever before with all the techniques necessary to live a fulfilling happy life. That comes with the recognition that circumstances are not this character's to control! Only the RESPONSE to the circumstances is within my power, and even then they are robust not invincible.

However, the right attitude tends to attract better circumstances, so even if there are disasters, a good attitude gives you the ability to "grow back". The fundamental baseline attitude must be GRATITUDE. For all the things that have happened to me that were most definitely NOT my preference, experiences both positive and negative have built up the quiet strength that has kept me sane and functional. That in itself is a value-added achievement, but with continual growth I intend not just to survive but to WIELD POWER! 

My intention in doing so is not to enjoy it for its own sake but to fulfil my life purpose of making the maximum difference, and scattering seeds of knowledge that will take root and grow in lives to come.
