3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
After spending yesterday sleeping or sitting quietly, I made a visit to the bathroom with some trepidation this morning. The conclusion is that bowel is recovering if not fully recovered. The debris of infection is clearly still being cleared, but I'm no longer "splattering the bowl". The lymph nodes in my lower back are still swollen and there's still a general soreness down there. I still may be infectious.

On balance, recovering is not recovered, so missus will insist I stay at home. I would override her wishes if I completely disagreed, but I'm undeniably not fully fit yet.

4. TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU
Are you totally honest with yourself?

6. TODAY'S ONELINER
I thought it was a cool idea to name your child after where they were conceived, which is why my son's name is Pub Toilet : D

7. NOW THAT'S FUNNY!
World's worst female goalkeeper

8. TRIVIA
The term "dustman" for a garbage disposal operative is unique to Britain, and comes from the fact that in the forties and fifties, material goods were scarce and recycled, so the main constituent of domestic refuse was the ash from coal fires.

With the introduction of the wheelie bin into Britain, the term is now in decline and has been replaced with "binmen" as the most popular term.

9. THE WISDOM I'VE LEARNED FROM OTHERS
"Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are." - John Wooden
