3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
Watching Son is like watching me in a parallel universe. We are virtually clones in personality. He has the same tendency for depression and self-pity when things don't go his way. He has the advantage of a mentor who has been through it all himself, and a much more supportive and loving environment.

For teenagers, they feel everything disproportionately intensely. I am honoured that he is comfortable enough with me to share these feelings, even if he doesn't always like my answers. I know when to give him space and mull it all over himself.  I know that he will be absolutely fine in the end, and that a few teen traumas are important learning experiences.

It's wonderful to see all the dysfunctionality from previous generations ending with mine.

4. TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU
