3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
For the first two days of this week, life has felt like it has been "on hold" what with snow, mild illness and boiler problems, as well as my new business venture folding before take-off.

Today feels like something of a fresh start. I still have a cough and missus is still off work with Gastroenteritis, but both us are steadily improving. The roads are clear so everyone can go about their business. After a good soak in the tub last night and a hearty steak and ale pie, I'm ready for getting back in the swing of things. There's client prep to do, clothes to iron, missus to attend to and daily meditation to get in.

Long term, I need a new goal as my planned venture will now not happen. Right now I don't have a plan, but rather than trying to figure it out, I have learned to rely on circumstances and gut instinct to guide my direction. I have a reasonably clear picture of what my ideal life (already 70% in place) looks like, and focus upon it will inevitably manifest it. Watch this space to see destiny unfold!

8. TRIVIA
Spiral staircases in medieval castles all spiral upwards clockwise. This is because all knights used to be right-handed. When the invading army would climb the stairs they would not be able to use their right hand which was holding the sword because of the difficulties of climbing the stairs. Left-handed knights would have had no troubles, except left-handed people could never become knights because it was assumed that they were descendants of the devil.
