3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
I have become aware of needing to take the same "medicine" as my clients! Like a diabetic is physically, mentally my "default" state is unhealthy, so like a diabetic must practice daily dietary discipline, so I must practice the daily mental disciplines of meditation, grounding, purpose, gratitude and visualization.

I have learned the hard way over the years that I can't have a few days off! No matter how benign and benevolent my circumstances, my mind left unmanaged is capable of ruining everything! On the other hand, when well-managed and disciplined, I enjoy a wonderful life and make a difference. Continual focus is therefore a crucial necessity for this character I play.

It takes courage to become happy—courage to remain true to one’s convictions, courage not to be defeated by one’s weaknesses and negativity, courage to take swift action to help those who are suffering.
