3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
Another day in domestic bliss for me yesterday. Most days generally are, for which I am profoundly grateful. The extra hour in the morning before the Weekend Job is proving particularly useful and suits me better.

"Mindfulness Always" is my current mantra - good times as well as band ones can lead me away from this essential discipline. When I do catch my focus in the wrong place, I use the mantra "stop struggling" to disengage and refocus.

I continue to maintain humility, knowing I can only ever make myself robust, not invincible. A tornado through my life will inevitably wreck it - my aim is simply to protect it from folding in an average wind.

4. TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU
What are you doing to make your life better?

9. ZEN WISDOM
It is important to keep the promises made to friends. This is the true meaning of friendship. To become people who can do so, however, we must first learn to keep the promises we have made to ourselves.
