3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
I am continuing to feel the benefit of a revitalized meditation regime, and I fully intend to get in 1 - 2 hours per day, even on Weekend Job days. I need it to be able to cope with the various challenges I face.

I was somewhat comforted by a documentary last night about the mind. It showed how emotions are fundamental to communication and even reasoning. I have often considered my own overactive emotions a burden, but I was made to see that they are actually pivotal in my work as a therapist/teacher. The ability to feel emotions and empathize is fundamentally important in social cohesion and co-operation to mutual benefit, as well as in intuitive decision-making.
