3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
Amongst Missus, various mental health issues, one of the more expensive is Pagophobia - the fear of slipping on ice and frost. Expensive because he only way she can travel at such times is taxis. With the weather as it is, it could be an expensive few days!

Unfortunately, hypnotherapy is not suitable for schizophrenia, so I can't help her that way. I have however ordered some crampons, so we'll see if they make a difference when they show up.

As part of my self-development, I have been studying motivation and made a realization - that holding on to what you have is not a suitable goal. You need to have a goal even if you're content, or you will slide backwards. I have thus set renewed goals that can be summarized as SLIM, CALM and INSPIRED.

I am using visualization and visual aids to keep focused on these goals, and doing things practically to move towards them.
SLIM - minimized sucrose in my diet, and taking opportunities to MOVE
CALM increased meditation and visualization
INSPIRED Deeper faith in my intuition - I will launch a separate blog to monitor progress.

4. TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU
Is it time to focus on achieving a better life?

5. TODAY'S WEATHER IN BRADFORD
Cold, dry and cloudy throughout, with a moderate westerly wind
Freezing fog overnight
Max Temp = 1 degC at 2pm
Min Temp = -2 degC at midnight
Sunrise at 08:13
Sunset at 16:23

Weathertrack: Weather systems elsewhere are dragging Arctic air across Britain

6. TODAY'S ONELINER
Sometimes, I think life is one big test & I’m in the wrong classroom :D

7. NOW THAT'S FUNNY!
Charlie Brooker on Gay Marriage

8. TRIVIA
The polar bear, while surviving in drastically reduced numbers, is already effectively extinct in its natural habitat—and no amount of change can save it because of insufficient breeding pairs and inexorable loss of habitat. Scientists estimate that just 20,000 to 25,000 polar bears still survive in the wild.

9. ZEN WISDOM
As long as we are human, we are bound to make mistakes. What distinguishes a forward-looking person from an intransigent one, a virtuous person from a dishonest one, however, is whether one can candidly admit to one’s mistakes and take bold steps to redress them.
