3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
I have for a second time underestimated chavs. The first time, I mistakenly assumed that no one would want to steal a made-to-fit wooden garden gate. This time I had neglected to fit a strikeplate to the garage door lock making the door vulnerable, but I figured chavs don't come out on cold nights. They did
, and the wooden surround was broken.

However, they seemed not to be interested in gardening equipment and nothing was taken.  I think they were hoping for a car or a bike! My resultant losses were thus fortunately limited to two hours pay at the Weekend Job as I needed to repair the damage and - belatedly - to fit a strikeplate.

Whilst I believe happiness is a choice, mood I fear is not! Mine, certainly affected by Friday night's break-in, was distinctly low, although I struggled through without any major impact on performance. As with any negative emotion, I think that you have to feel the mood and press on anyway towards your goals.

The toll of a lifetime spent mainly in hurt, fear and feeling lost seemed to catch up on me last night. At such times faith that you are being looked after, in my case by my Higher Self, is essential. I relaxed, trusted, and eventually felt better.

I have often tired of playing this character with its tendency to be over-emotional, but the role will end soon enough anyway and like any intriguing story, you don't want to miss out on any of it and you want to know what happened in the end.

9. ZEN WISDOM
Everything depends on what is in our hearts. If we decide to ourselves that something is impossible, then, consistent with our minds in thinking so, even something that is possible for us will become impossible. On the other hand, if we have the confidence that we can definitely do something, then we are already one step closer to achieving it in reality.
