3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
There is a possibility that all my struggles with weight, depression, hypersensitive emotions, anger management issues and aggressiveness when hungry may all boil down to a simple chemical issue - Chromium deficiency. This essential mineral allows the release of glucose into the blood from glycogen. Deficiency leads to mild hypoglycemia, affecting weight and mood.

I have been aware of this or a while and have been taking cinnamon in tea and coffee to boost Chromium levels. Further research however has uncovered that suggests that some folks need quite high doses - around 600 micrograms per day - to function normally.

I have consequently purchased a Chromium supplement and today began consuming this daily amount, whilst keeping sucrose intake low, too see what happens.

If my mood stabilises and I start to lose weight, the implications are profound. On one hand, it means I have spent two-thirds of my life needlessly suffering. However it also means I have made a wonderful discovery that will help many others.

This knowledge is hardly new - it's been known since the 1950's - but I don't think anyone's shouted loud enough about it! If my life changes, I'll shout it to the world myself!

8. TRIVIA
Capuchins are skilled tool users. They smash nuts with rocks, insert branches into crevices to capture food, remove spines and hairs from caterpillars by rubbing them against a branch, protect their hands with leaves, and use large branches to club snakes.

9. ZEN WISDOM
People shouldn’t hesitate to exert their all, in a way true to themselves. How can you possibly ever know how far or fast you can go if you’ve never run all-out? To give up even before you’ve tried is actually arrogance—an affront to the wondrous power of life within you and disrespectful to yourself.
