3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
I was somewhat saddened to be blocked by a longstanding Facebook/Twitter buddy. With no explanation, it's hard to be sure why but I think it's because I criticized a Facebook post. But I don't regret it for a minute! If people make twee public statements about how you'll get over a trauma, or any other kind of naive statement for that matter, I reserve the right to publicly challenge it.

If folk can't bear to be criticized, they are the ones with the problem. I have learned that standing up for what you believe inevitably costs some relationships, and I am fully prepared to pay the price. I am also not averse to severing relationships myself, but I like to think it's for better reasons than a single act of criticism.

I finally got back to a meditation regime yesterday, and as with all other important disciplines, I now have to keep it going daily! It's simply a case of getting the priorities right. As I enter Friday/Saturday where time gets tighter, it will be a good test for my new determination.

As we work for the greater good, we build happiness for ourselves and others. The more we do for other people, the more the path of our own happiness will open up. In realizing this, we discover a sense of gratitude in being able to help them.
