3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
Factors are coming together to make it time for me to address the "elephant in the room" - my own weight! My weight has remained constant since 2012 and has not been a priority. Unfortunately that constant is around 4 stone overweight. This has not overly bothered me and not stopped me treating clients successfully, but to really take my Practice forward, and take advantage of the self-publicity, I need to reduce it.

I am of the opinion that whatever regime I adopt must be lifelong and that feeling some degree of hunger/discomfort is unavoidable. As a therapist I am quite capable of managing that discomfort with suitable focus - it's just that for quite some time my focus has been elsewhere.

I don't have a plan in place, only the clear intention that it will start today. It will probably be one square meal a day and something token at two other times.

I think that as with any major life-change, there has to be an internal determination that "enough is enough" and that the time has come.
