3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
Having run out of Chromium Picolinate tablets on Wednesday I decided not to get more - and now I regret it! "Diva when hungry" symptoms have returned with a vengeance! Feelings of hunger have become a lot more acute and sharp - Chromium helps metabolize blood sugar so without it the body can't efficiently get at the stored fat and glycogen and burn them.

I am now convinced that either due to diet or more likely an inability to get the Chromium out of food, I have spent most of my life Chromium deficient, because I've now had experience of both being with and without this mineral in sufficient quantity.

The problem with nutrition is that there are few absolutes - everybody's body chemistry is unique, and it's taken a lifetime to get a reasonable understanding of my own and what it needs.

8. TRIVIA
Studies show that physically attractive people tend to have better paying jobs in higher-level positions than do their less attractive equally-qualified counterparts. This preference is collectively referred to as the “beauty bias.”

9. ZEN WISDOM
Where can we find happiness? Happiness is not found in a tranquil life free of storms and tempests. Real happiness is found in the struggles we undergo to realize our goals, in our efforts to move forward.
