3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
A return to nutritional normality today is intended after Easter self-indulgence. With an excessive abundance of chocolate in the house, that may have proved challenging in the past but now I am focused on nutrition, I don't expect there to be a problem.

If nutrition is my physical focus, emptying the mind is my spiritual and mental focus. If I don't get a grip on this, self-sabotage and cycles of negative consequences will continue to follow. I need to stop fighting people and events that are no longer actually there! Unlike most spiritually-inclined folks, I have no problem with acknowledging and unleashing my dark side in self-defence, but I need to stop descending into dark unlikely imagined scenarios.

I will be printing off a few mind-emptying visual aids and poetic lines to help my focus today.

8. TRIVIA
Watchtowers were built at regular intervals along the Great Wall of China and could be up to 40 feet tall. They were used as lookouts and fortresses as well as for housing garrisons of troops and stockpiled supplies. They were also signal stations, where beacons, smoke, or flags were used for messages. They also represented a tremendous diversity of architectural styles.

9. ZEN WISDOM
The worst mistake you can make is to give up on yourself and stop challenging yourself for fear of failure. Keep moving forward with a firm eye on the future, telling yourself, “I’ll start from today!” “I’ll start afresh from now, from this very moment!”
